Strong conservative and Christian values have molded my life and I am more committed to them now than ever before. Although I wasn't born here, this is now my home and I care about what happens in Johnson County as evidenced by my involvement in a number of community activities. I am running for County Commissioner because I want to protect what's working in the county and improve what's not. Over the next few years Johnson County will be facing substantial challenges. As our unprecedented growth continues at a rapid pace, it's putting a heavy strain on our road system and our public safety resources, as well as steadily increasing our crime statistics. We are enjoying the prosperity of the Barnett Shale, however, we must manage the problems that the development brings. We need County Commissioners who will work to preserve our land and our quality of life. Decisions made during this important period will affect future generations so they cannot be made lightly. To read a brief summary of my positions on what I feel are critical issues facing the county, please visit the "Issues Page". Governing a county of almost 160,000 residents and managing a budget of over $33 million through the changing future will require a new generation of strong leadership. We need County Commissioners who represent Johnson County in a professional manner, are knowledgeable about the issues, are accessible to the citizens to meet their needs, are accountable for the trust that is placed in them, and are willing to work hard to achieve results. We need County Commissioners who are involved in issues that affect Johnson County as a whole and not just Precinct #3. I feel that I am that person and I ask for your vote in the March 4, 2008, Republican Primary Election. Thank you.
